Colton Dixon Revamps Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Time After Time’ on ‘American Idol’

It’s down to the Top 8 on ‘American Idol,’ and tonight, contestant Colton Dixon was tasked with singing a song from the ’80s.

Instead of picking something from the alternative rock genre, which definitely seems to be the genre Dixon is most comfortable with, the 20 year old went with Cyndi Lauper’s pop ballad ‘Time After Time.’ However, he couldn’t resist giving the classic a rock twist.

Taylor Swift and Zac Efron recently appeared on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ to promote their new Dr. Seuss movie ‘The Lorax,’ and when Degeneres wasn’t asking them about their film project, she was grilling them about relationship rumors. Adam Lambert Wants to Play Himself on ‘Glee’

Adam Lambert is a Gleek! The ‘Better Than I Know Myself’ singer recently gushed about ‘Glee‘ in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, and even spoke about his dream to one day guest star on the show. However, unlike the many famous guest stars who have appeared on past episodes of the musical series, Lambert wouldn’t want to play a fictional character, but would actually want to portray himself.

Etta James Dead at 73

Music icon and vocal legend Etta James has died at the age of 73 after losing her battle with leukemia, according to a report from CNN. She is survived by her husband, Artis Mills, and her two sons, who were all present at the time of the singer’s passing.
