Where Do Pixar’s ‘Cars’ Come From? Here’s Their Creative Director’s Amazing Theory

Children’s entertainment is full of anthropomorphized objects and animals. To kids, talking automobiles are no more or less strange than babies who are bosses or teenage turtles who get mutated into ninja warriors. But to the parents and adults who watch the Cars movies with these children, their internal logic and rules are a source of endless fascination.

Universal Quickly Developing a ‘Fast’ Spinoff for Johnson and Statham

It may not have made a lick of sense within the emotional continuity of the series, but it’s hard to argue that the comedic highlight of The Fate of the Furious was Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham’s snappy banter. Johnson’s Hobbs winds up in jail right across the hall from his old arch-nemesis Deckard Shaw, played by Statham, and their chemistry is immediate and hilarious. And at the end of the film, Peter finds “Awesome Mix Vol. 2,” setting up the sequel, coming to theaters next month.

Everything That Happened at the Star Wars Celebration ‘Last Jedi’ Panel

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in theaters in just about eight months, and we still haven’t gotten a trailer for the eighth movie in the saga from a galaxy far, far away.
