Rita Ora Hospitalized For Exhaustion, Thanks Fans for Support
Rest is tough to come by for any on-the-go pop star, but Rita Ora needed a second to cool down and reboot yesterday (June 29) after being hospitalized for exhaustion.
The "Body on Me" singer shared an image on Twitter in which she was sprawled out on a hospital bed with an IV-drip in her arm. According to E!, Ora, who spent the weekend at the Glastonbury Festival, felt her energy deplete after a morning photo shoot in London and eventually wound up in the emergency room.
"Today was pretty tough but I'm getting through it thank you all my fans and friends for the support," she captioned the shot.
E! adds Ora felt better by the day's end, and ultimately posted a photo of herself in her bra to Snapchat with the caption "Goodnight guys."
And while the singer's midweek was a bit of a downswing, her career's still on the rise — on June 20, she announced she'd signed to Atlantic Records, and was excited to embark on a brand new adventure.
"Music is my first love and I am looking forward to getting my new songs released,” Ora said in a statement, adding she plans to release new music later this year. “I’m thankful to my new Atlantic Records family for all their support and encouragement. The next chapter is going to be incredible."
