Selena Gomez Already Looking Past ‘Revival,’ Shares New Song Snippet
It’s been a mere five months since Selena Gomez dropped her last album Revival, but she’s already back in the studio working on new material.
“I’ve been in the studio at the moment already working on new stuff,” she said during an interview with 97.5 NOW FM yesterday (March 28). “I can’t wait to celebrate Revival but it’s been fun to feel like I’m already moving towards other things.”
Selena says her current tour prep ignited some musical creativity, hence the sudden studio session: "After everything started happening with the tour, I called Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels, who are two writers that did half the album with me, and I just said, ‘Let’s go back in the studio. I just feel like I need to get stuff out and I think I have ideas.' And we’ve been in the studio just kinda working on stuff.”
Selena posted a video to Instagram that shows her recording a new song. She captioned it, "So insta has 60 sec vids now... also new stuff coming."
There's no word as to how far along Selena's new album is, but she's pretty busy in the interim. Not only will she embark on the Revival Tour in early May, but her next single "Kill 'Em With Kindness" is set to hit radio soon.
“'Kill ‘Em With Kindness' is lyrically my favorite song I put on the record," she said. "And I definitely can’t wait to be able for that to have a story.”
