TMZ reports that Summer was working on a new album and trying to finish it up and tried her best to keep the extent of her illness away from the public. Donna Summer was the queen of disco and had a string of hits throughout the 70's and 80's.

In other DWTS news, ABC announced plans yesterday for the fall edition of the dancing competition, it's going to be an all-star season!
