In an exclusive interview with Deadline's Nikki Finke, former 'American Idol' judge Simon Cowell revealed he wants Paula Abdul to join the judges' table on his upcoming reality series 'The X Factor.'
"I've always wanted Paula. Always been very vocal about that. I missed her the second she left the show," he said. "Always loved working with her even though she can be a pain. And I've been consistent about this. I don’t know what it is about her, but I've always clicked with her."
April 5, 2011 Singer Cheryl Cole has reportedly joined the judges' panel on Fox's upcoming reality-competition series 'The X Factor,' premiering this fall.
So says fellow judge L.A. Reid, anyway, who during a recent interview revealed, "We're gonna compete against American Idol just fine. I'm very confident. But along with Simon Cowell and Cheryl, I don't know who the other judge is."
According to EW.com, Cole is still in talks with the network and no official word has been made. (Still, given that the news came from L.A. Reid's lips, it's probably true.)
March 10, 2011 I didn't think we'd ever hear Simon Cowell amdmit to what he's going to admit to Monday night on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight program. Simon says, "I personally think it is a better show than last year...they've got their energy back. They're confident. They're competitive....I think it's a good show."
