A few years back, Santino, a chimpanzee at a zoo in Sweden, made big news. He was gathering rocks in the morning, storing them and then later in the day he would hurl them at unsuspecting people enjoying a lovely day at the zoo.

Funny right? I thought it was a first, but then all of a sudden I started thinking, isn’t this how Planet of the Apes began?

Some researchers were skeptical that Santino really was planning for a these sneaky attacks.

Santino is back in the news, because now he is hiding the rocks under piles of hay or behind logs to get a closer and better aim. This is more evidence that he is thinking ahead like humans do.

By hiding the stones and then trying to deceive zoo visitors into thinking that his intentions were peaceful, (researchers) argue, Santino was actually anticipating and planning for a future situation rather than simply responding repetitively to a past one.

Santino is a pretty smart chimp! Check out the video below where he paints! Well, he sniffs the paint and then decides to taste it but then he really does start using a paint brush.

The 6-foot teen – who is reported to have refused to wear a prosthetic arm at the age 2 – is not only a force to be reckoned with on the mound but is also quite the hitter.  Check out this video of Coleman Shannon basically doing it all on the baseball diamond.

One-handed pitcher Jim Abbott threw a no-hitter against the Cleveland Indians in 1993 but this 14-year old pitcher has one-upped him: he did it with only one arm. Sure, Jim did it against major league hitting, but Coleman is just a kid and kids are usually pretty damn lazy. We know plenty of kids. Some of them are offspring and the others, well, it hasn’t been medically proven yet.

Oh, and the kid can hunt and also plays the guitar. Have you even rolled out of bed yet, slacker? We haven’t, but let’s keep concentrating on you for the moment.

Talk about some summer fun! Take a huge balloon, fill it with water, jump on it and try to break it. Oh and film it in slow motion!

The teen girls were suntanning when they fell asleep. The driver stopped at a corner, but ran over the girls when he took the turn and didn’t notice the girls on the ground. Needless to say, a scream alerted him of their presence. Things got worse when he realized one of the girls on the road was his cousin. The ambulance were called, and the girls were then airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital where they, fortunately, are out of life-threatening danger, so we can point and laugh at them without feeling bad.

Let that be a lesson to you: don’t lie in the road. Although why anybody needed to be taught that lesson is completely beyond us.

The weekend is almost here! I’m hoping for a lazy weekend and there is nothing like sitting on a bench and watching the world go by, even if your a frog!

Take a look at this video of a frog sitting like a human on a bench. All I can think of is: How funny it would have been to place a beer next to him. Ah, yes that would be the perfect Saturday afternoon!

Earlier this month, Pizza Hut in the U.K. started offering the Hot Dog Stuffed Crust Pizza. Personally, I don’t think this looks to appetizing! What do you think? I checked their website and it’s not offered in their menu options. We can only hope this was offered for a limited time only.

But that’s not all! Just released in the Middle East, It’s the Crown Crust Burger Pizza. What better than a pizza that wants to be a burger, right? This pizza has tiny cheeseburger patties nestled on top of the crust. The pizza itself is topped with beef, lettuce, tomato and melted cheese. What, no pickle? Take a look at the commercial below.

Little Will is in shock seeing his older brother Jay in the room, but it’s what Will says as he runs up to his hero that made us go “awwwwww”.

Will telling Jay he missed his “buddy” really shows the emotional connection the two brothers have despite their age difference. As for Jay, he couldn’t have asked for a better greeting.

Let’s face it: pushing a stroller isn’t very manly. Sure, you can put on your sad single dad face and maybe get some play from the wife, but that’s about the best you can expect. A Plano, Texas dad decided to change that by making his little guy a stroller to be truly proud of. Modeled after a classic late 50′s Caddy, this awesome stroller features underlighting, air ride and flames shooting out of the tailpipes because there is no other place you’d want your child than around an open flame.

Safety concerns aside, this is one of the most bad ass kid cruisers ever constructed, and it won first place in the Open Car class at the Plano “Monthly Muscle Car Show.”

This feline has balls (figuratively and potentially literally since there isn’t a clear shot of its underside), and this cat definitely took notes in Jedi training. We  just can’t help but wonder if the person who filmed this exchange was the owner of the dogs because that cat was clearly kicking tail until that springer spaniel was unleashed.

Whatever the breed, watch this cat hold its own until it drops a force push effect and then all hell breaks loose.

Kelly Clarkson gave Los Angeles fans an extra special treat on Tuesday, when she covered Britney Spears, as well as Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

The ‘Duets’ host offered a stripped-down version of Brit’s dance track ‘Till the World Ends,’ honoring a fan request. “We’ve had so many requests also for tonight, but for other shows as well, for me to cover the lovely Britney Spears,” she said, adding, “I know you know this song! I’m expecting everybody on these ‘Ohs’.”

Clarkson also graced fans with a special version of Houston and Carey’s ‘When You Believe,’ a duet the divas recorded in 1998 for the film ‘The Prince of Egypt.’ The ‘Stronger’ singer didn’t do it alone, though — she enlisted the help of fellow ‘Idol’ star Tamyra Gray.

Gray was one of two musical guests at the Nokia Theatre on Tuesday. Clarkson also invited Michelle Branch on the stage to perform the Wreckers’ song ‘Leave the Pieces.’ Fans certainly got their ticket’s worth at this show!

Clarkson is schedule to perform at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas on April 5, and will perform four more concerts, including the final ‘Stronger’ tour date at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Wash.

Somewhere along the way, an egg-toting, gift-giving rabbit became associated with the Easter holiday. We assume that soon after, sadistic parents decided that it would be fun to make sure any likeness of this generous rabbit should be creepy and frightening so they can take pictures and video of their children being completely freaked out.

Bunnies, in their normal form, are small, cute, bouncy and fluffy with cute little cotton ball tails. But, the Easter Bunny is no regular bunny. For children, the Easter Bunny is not only a source of chocolates and marshmallow Peeps, but also a source of terror. (Like you weren’t scared of a giant walking bunny dressed in human clothes when you were a wee one.) Here are 10 adorable videos featuring kids who are completely freaked out by the Easter Bunny.

The title says it all. The message kids are sending to all parents is, “Is this photo really worth it?” First, where have you taken these children? Of course they’re frightened by a backroom bunny. Second, those are not screams of joy. Third, why does the Easter Bunny look like he’s drunk and homeless and trying to sleep off his hangover on a park bench?

This unfortunate child seems to actually be magnetically opposed to the Easter Bunny. No matter how hard his mother tries to get him to sit on the huge-headed bunny’s lap, the child’s body involuntarily contorts itself away from him. Or maybe, just maybe, the kid does not want to be there. Curiously, moments later (after mom canoodles with the beast), the laws of physics right themselves and the kid exchanges some apprehensive “fives” with the freakishly large rabbit.

I love hearing new versions of old songs. A friend turned me on to this one. The artist is Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers. They are starting to catch the ears of a lot of people, including me.

This is part of their “Van Sessions” as in, singing in a van on their long road trips to different gigs. (Get it?)  How refreshing to hear such pure musical talent. No recording studio help from equalizers or digital enhancements… just talent!   Give it a listen and tell me what you think.

Ah, the treadmill. The weather is getting warmer and it’s time to get in shape for shorts, tank tops and swimsuits. The treadmill is of course great exercise but dangerous too! Any time I’ve been on one, I’ve always lost my step and have almost fallen off. Luckily, I’ve always done a great “save” and have never hurt myself, but I looked like a complete idiot in the process. Thanks to YouTube we can check out some of the less fortunate people who have taken a funny tumble on a treadmill.

Check out this video of people on and off the treadmill. As I watched it, I realized one of my eyes was closed and I was cringing while I was laughing. Hoping no one got too injured!

Tuesday nights bring doom for the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contestants, because one has to turn in their sequins and watch the rest of the competition from home (or at least from a chair in the audience). Who was this season’s first casualty?

After an obligatory filler routine by the ‘DWTS’ pros, hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet (who looked like she was wearing the stripper version of a candystriper uniform) introduced themselves and showed us some backstage/behind-the-scenes clips from Monday night’s performance show.

These are often fun because we get to hear what the dancers said to each other during their routines and immediately afterward. But watching a dejected Martina Navratilova sitting with her head in her hands after her botched dance? Decidedly not fun. That woman is one of the most successful athletes in history, and seeing her beat herself up for missing a few dance steps on a reality show was downright painful.

The lowest-scoring women were called to the stage, leading to the announcement of the first two safe couples: Melissa and Maks, and Gladys and Tristan.

And the first couple in jeopardy of leaving was, as expected, Martina and Tony. She looked far more relaxed than on Monday, which was a bit of a relief.

Next, more filler as Sugarland performed, and then Brooke the Stripping Candystriper talked to the three couples who got the judges’ highest scores, including William and Cheryl. The women in the ballroom screamed at the mere mention of his name, and we got some shots of female audience members who are really too old to be swooning over a celebrity doing it anyway — something that we’re sure won’t be embarrassing for them during their morning carpools at all.

The next two safe couples: Jaleel and Kym, and William and Cheryl.

Which made for an interesting second couple in jeopardy: Roshon and Chelsie. Maybe all his Disney-watching fans weren’t allowed to stay up late enough to vote?

We then saw a montage of all the stars saying how much they didn’t want to be the first ones to go home and, right in the middle, there was Martina, telling us how she was sure it wouldn’t be her. Oh, ABC. Can we pass you the salt for that wound?

Brooke then chatted with the top-scoring women. We learned Maria has two broken ribs, but she claimed she’ll be fine because she’s Greek. Yikes. Usually people have a tough time breathing with injured ribs, let alone dancing with them. We’re not sure what being Greek has to do with pain-management, but maybe spanakopita has magical healing powers of which we are unaware.

Next three safe couples: Maria and Derek, Katherine and Mark, and Sherri and Val.

Sherri’s reaction? Picture someone covered in spiders who’s trying to shake them off while running from a knife-wielding maniac. Kinda like that.

More Sugarland, and then the next two safe couples: Donald and Peta, and Jack and Anna. So that meant Gavin and Karina were the third couple in jeopardy.

Roshon and Chelsie were sent to safety, leaving a bottom two of Gavin and Karina, and Martina and Tony. Our first elimination?

Martina and Tony.

Bummer. But when Gavin hugged her, he said something really classy: “It was an honor to meet you.” As for Martina herself, she took the ouster with her characteristic class and grace.

This show sure seems to hate tennis stars — during the sixth season of ‘DWTS,’ Monica Seles was eliminated first too. Woe be to the producers if they ever get John McEnroe on that stage.

As you can see, he is one natural performer.. It is true that he doesn’t have the “King of Rock and Roll’s” signature hip-swivel down just yet, but what he can do is much cuter… and the ladies love it.

The dad had missed his son’s birthday by a few days, but the family decided it wasn’t too late to celebrate. So the kid, dressed up as his favorite comic book hero, got one of the best presents a kid could ask for.

Not every child is lucky enough to have a real Captain America as their dad, so this reunion makes it all the more heartwarming. And when the son and his brother wrap around their daddy’s leg after the initial shock… yeah, that made us reach for the tissue box.
