Yoko Ono Rushed to Hospital for Dehydration, Not a Stroke
Yoko Ono was rushed to the hospital on Friday night (February 26).
While Page Six initially reported that she suffered a stroke, her longtime spokesperson Elliot Mintz told Billboard that the musician, artist and widow of the late Beatle, John Lennon, was experiencing "flu-like symptoms" and was later diagnosed with dehydration.
And to ease the minds of the skeptics out there, her son, Sean Lennon, set the record straight on Twitter.
"Hey guys it was only rumors from press: was NOT a stroke, just dehydration/tired. She is FINE. Thank you everyone for your concern @yokoono," the fellow Plastic Ono Band member tweeted.
He also added, "Only stroke @yokoono had was a Stroke of Genius! :-) She's really fine. Thanks for all the well wishes! Big Love, Sean."
Yoko is set to go home later today (February 27).
At 83, Yoko is still very active in the art and music worlds. She, along with the Plastic Ono Band, headlined the Modern Sky Festival last October. And she also released her new album, Yes, I'm a Witch, Too, earlier this month.
We wish her a speedy recovery.
