In today's world, social media is kind of a big deal. Even if you don't have your own personal pages, you're sure to see the little icons hundreds, maybe thousands, of times each day. There are entire careers and industries built around social media.

That means that when even one of the social media platforms goes down, it's huge.

Well, today - July 3, 2019 - all of the major social media platforms were struggling. I'm talking Facebook, Twitter AND Instagram, among others. You could go to the pages, but pictures weren't loading, direct messaging wasn't working, some people couldn't post new items, it was a nightmare.

Alright, so calling it a nightmare is a bit of a stretch...but it was still awfully inconvenient. I'd go so far as to say it was downright frustrating! However, throughout the inconvenience and frustration, I can say this:

I survived.

That's right, I'm a millennial (barely) and I still survived this goofy social media blackout - or actually, minor inconvenience.

Did you guys make it through alright? Or, were there some of you that had more problems than others? Let us know in the comment section below!
